A resident of Jackson, MS came out of his home just before 6am on Friday to find someone burglarizing his vehicle. The homeowner opened fire, striking the suspect, identified as Quardious Thomas, 20. When police arrived they found Thomas wounded in the vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital where he died. Police say the homeowner will not face charges for the shooting. A pharmacist in Winslow Township, NJ was facing an armed robber in his pharmacy who was demanding Oxycontin. The shop owner distracted the robber briefly and then ran to the back of the store to grab his gun. The pharmacist fired as many as five shots at the would be robber who tried to flee once the weapon was produced. It is unknown whether the suspected robber was hit, and he did manage to escape on a mountain bike.

Incident originally happened in 2006, but was not previously published on this site. Brian Harrison, with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's department, was escorting a funeral procession when he pulled George Temple over to write him a ticket for interrupting the procession.
