Screen Shot 2014-01-06 at 6.30.18 PMHere we go, yet another court victory for gun rights.

In this case, U.S. District Court Judge Edmond E. Chang published a 35 page opinion on the legality of Chiacgo’s ban of handgun sales within city limits.

According to the Chicago Sun Times,

“Chicago’s ordinance goes too far in outright banning legal buyers and legal dealers from engaging in lawful acquisitions and lawful sales of firearms…”

We’ll post up more details once the opinion is posted online.

The City of Chicago will, of course, appeal the decision, so don’t expect to see any real change coming anytime soon as a result of this decision.

Judge Chang was appointed by President Obama in 2010.
