Magpul is finalizing their move out of Colorado following the state’s passage of a universal background check law as well as a magazine capacity limit law in 2013.

The company first announced their plans to move well before the legislation was passed and began making good on their promise shortly after it was.

In an announcement made this week the company said that they will be formally closing down their Colorado operations by the end of the 1st quarter 2015. From their website [emphasis added]:

Erie, Colo. – Magpul Industries today updated clients and business partners on the company’s relocation.

Magpul has relocated its corporate headquarters to Central Texas. The company is utilizing a building in Lakeway, TX. This is a transitional facility pending closing on a building that is under contract. Magpul will update clients and business partners when the corporate headquarters moves into the permanent HQ facility.

Magpul is relocating manufacturing and distribution to Wyoming beginning in January 2015. The address for Magpul’s manufacturing and distribution facility is: 7201 Commerce Circle, Cheyenne, WY 82007. Magpul modified its initial plans to complete a build-to-suit facility when this existing 135,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center became available. Magpul is now completing a 50,000 square foot addition and will move into the new facility on January 12th, 2015.

Magpul’s existing Colorado operations and storage facilities totaling more than 100,000 square feet will close during the first quarter of 2015 as remaining staff from those locations transitions to Texas and Wyoming. Magpul will open a single administrative location in Colorado to support the relocation and this site will then serve as a regional support office.

“Magpul’s new facilities in Texas and Wyoming will immediately enhance business operations and will support the company’s continued expansion into new product lines” says Duane Liptak, Director of Product Management and Marketing for Magpul Industries. “We expect this transition to be seamless to our loyal customers, but we appreciate the support of our clients and business partners as we complete this transition.”
