A little bit of bittersweet news for the tons of Magpul fans out there today.

We just got (and Magpul confirmed it on their site) that the new grey furniture and accessories are now shipping. We can probably assume pink stuff isn’t far behind as they were unveiled around the same time. Although, it was announced that pink will be a limited run when it does start shipping.

However, one surprising twist, Magpul has also announced that by the end of 2014 they will no longer sell colored magazines. Black only. Also, foliage green furniture and accessories are being phased out. The announcement is as follows,

With the launch of Stealth Gray across the board, we will be discontinuing Foliage Green as a color option, to be completely phased out by the end of 2014. Also, based on demand and to maintain consistency across our line of magazine products, all non-black MOE magazine color options will be discontinued by the end of 2014.

Sad stuff. Personally, I’m a fan of a coated upper/lower receiver with black accessories, but I do know a lot of people like to be matchy/matchy with their magazines and furniture.

Also shipping is the new PMAG 25 LR/SR Gen 3 Magazine. From Magpul,

The 7.62×51 NATO (.308 Winchester) PMAG 25 LR/SR GEN M3 Window is a lightweight, cost effective, high reliability magazine for SR25/M110 pattern rifles featuring true 25-round capacity, constant-curve body, anti-tilt follower, snap on Impact/Dust Cover, and features transparent windows to allow rapid visual identification of approximate number of rounds remaining.

The PMAG 25LR/SR brings GEN M3 improvements to the LR line along with “more of a good thing” in the form of 25 rounds of capacity. Keep track of those rounds with MagLevel™ Window functionality, for the first time, now available in a 7.62 PMAG.
