Oldest daughter and I have been speneding a bit of time at the range for the last months, and tend to go once a week. I insist that she actually put up some bullseyes and shoot for accuracy. However, she really likes to just punch holes in the splatter-Zombie targets.

She enjoys it, so I cannot complain... Bob the Zombie pizza delivery would be down for the count, and really, so would anybody else of the same general shape....

I get frustrated because she does not actually aim at a point it seems... She also does not share her target with me. I asked if I could shoot something on the target. "OK, you can have the box...." Meh, I put ten into the box lid....

I placed another mag, and she said, "I'll bet you cannot shoot off his finger!"

    "Challenge accepted!"

Did not take any at the range this week, just that target last night at my bench. However, here she is firing my Beretta last week. She originally did not like it, but decided it is rahter nice and shootable.

It's always good to see people getting into firearms! They are the most effective equalizer that can be operated by almost anyone.

went to this last week, and it has me re practicing now to shoot proper not just going out and making small groups on paper but to shoot and learn the gun.

one drill was to shoot a target timed 10 rounds as fast a you can keeping all rounds on paper one handed using the glock trigger set

i was using a G20 10mm my time was 6.58 sec, 10 rounds ,all on paper (yes 1 is off the pic but on target), was nothing like going to the public range with a 2 SEC pause and just punching holes in paper
we learned to shoot behind us, laying on the ground, shot steel hostage targets out to 25 feet, got to shoot a bullet proof vest witht he 10mm
(i had the largest gun of the day so i got a little extra show off time because of the extra recoil)

what i thought would be a 2 hr class turned into a 6 hour day of some great stuff. we had 5 in the class and we all learned something.

if any of you ever get the chance to take such a class =====DO IT,

ps: even saw how to make a slug from a number 8 bird shot shotgun shell by cutting the plastic hull so it comes out with the shot , it hit the target out at 30 yards and it makes a nasty hole in a metal drum , it is like a very large safety slug makes a big hole then all the shot goes all over.
