USA Today is reporting that most, if not all, of the wounded civilians in the Empire State building shooting were more than likely shot by NYPD bullets.

Nine people were wounded in the incident, which was originally reported as a mass shooting. However now the facts seem to point to a single homicide by the suspected shooter. The other nine casualties can more than likely by attributed to the NYPD who opened fire on the suspect after he turned towards them holding a gun.

None of the wounded have life threatening injuries and some may have been hit by ricochets.

Now would be a good time to review firearm safety rule #4: Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
