What The Hell is Going on in Colorado? ‘Use Pens for Defense’, ‘Pee on Yourself’, ‘Women Can’t be Trusted with Guns’

OK.

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

What the hell is going on in Colorado that public officials there are making the most assinine comments ever this month?

And yes, that is the Colorado flag flying upside down, because you guys are in distress whether you know it or not.

As many know, the state where the Aurora theatre shooting took place has been involved in a debate on gun control and it looks like the state is poised to pass at least some kind of new gun control measures in the coming days.

That is disappointing because I remember visiting Colorado when I was younger, and everyone outside of Denver seemed to be very friendly, pro-gun and intelligent.

In the past couple of weeks we have heard some of the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard come from public officials.

Let’s start with Democratic Colorado state Rep. Joe Salazar said, “It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the whistles. Because you just don’t know who you’re gonna be shooting at. And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop … pop around at somebody.”

So Salazar apparently thinks that women are scared, trigger happy people who simply can’t be trusted with firearms because they’ll apparently shoot anything with a penis that gets within 5 feet of them. Got it Joe, thanks for that.

Here is the video of Joe’s comments.

Next up we have have The University of Colorado Springs department of Public Safety saying on their website that women who are about to be raped should “Tell your attacker that you have a disease or are menstruating,” and “Vomiting or urinating may also convince the attacker to leave you alone.” (Source: ibtimes.com)

BRILLIANT! Since Joe Salazar wants to disarm women then they will obviously need a way to defend themselves from rape. Why not take advantage of those bodily functions that you already know how to use.

The suggestions have been removed from the University Website as of 2/20/13, but not before making the rounds all over the Internet.

And finally, we have yet another Democratic lawmaker, Jesse Ulibarri, (the same people who are pushing the anti gun agenda in CO) saying that there is no need for private citizens to carry guns. It only creates a dangerous crossfire situation.

Besides, says Jesse, ballpoint pens make great self defense weapons and don’t create a dangerous crossfire that children are bound to be caught in.

People of Colorado, what the hell is going on over there?

We know you guys legalized marijuana recently, but come on. You guys have to get these folks out of office.

With these people in charge it should be no time at all before CO becomes the next NY or NJ.
