If you follow competitive and/or speed shooting, you’ve certainly heard of Jerry Miculek.

In this video, which Jerry released on Jan 6th, we see Jerry handle the granddaddy of civilian semi-auto rifles, the Barrett .50 cal rifle.

The video is beautifully captured at 3600 frames per second and in the ultra slow motion you can see what good form for speed shooting really looks like. Keep in mind that the entire slow motion part of the video is actually less than a second.

According to the video, the score used is a Vortex Razor HD gen II.

The ammo used is M33 ball ammo.

The splits (time per shot) in this video is impressive. Jerry just seems to have a sixth sense about when to pull the trigger. The gun almost appears to be firing full auto as fast and accurately as Jerry is pulling trigger.

The grouping was surprisingly good with 5 of the 6 rounds forming a pretty decent group considering he was rapid firing a .50 cal. All 6 rounds were on target.

One other thing that is clear from this video – Jerry Miculek freaking loves his job.
