It’s no secret that I’m not a big fan of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, but I do think he made the right call when he vetoed the latest attempt to further infringe on the rights of New Jersey gun owners last week.

Christie vetoed the legislation that would have lowered the magazine capacity limit in New Jersey from 15 to 10 rounds.

Christie was asked about this veto at a press conference yesterday and he actually made a decent point that actually calls out the true intentions of anti-gunners.

Christie said the eventual logic of anti-gunners would be that we eventually get to a magazine capacity of zero (aka banning guns), and he’s right. We all know that’s the end game of most anti-gunners out there.

Here are some of his comments,

“Are we saying that the 10 children on the clip they advocate for, that their lives are less valuable?” Christie said in a video posted on his Youtube channel. “If you take the logical conclusion of their argument, you go to zero because every life is valuable. And so why 10? Why not six, six? Why not two? Why not one? Why not zero? Why not just ban guns completely?”

“I understand their argument, I hear their argument, I don’t agree with their argument,” he said. “We have a fundamental disagreement about the effectiveness of what they’re advocating for.”

Well said. Still not a huge fan. Christie has A TON of work to do for me to consider him a true friend to gun rights.
