This one isn’t gun related, but it is a story in which a father defended his son from a criminal. We always advocate for people to own firearms and become proficient in their use in order to best defend themselves and their families. However, a father in Florida didn’t need a gun to defend his son from a sexual predator this week.

It seems his fists were all the weapons the father needed when he found a man inside of his home, sexually assaulting his 11 year old son.

According to local media reports,

“I just walked in on a grown man molesting …,” the upset father told a dispatcher. “And I got him in a bloody puddle for you officer.”

The father was acting like a dad, said Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood.

Police responding to the Daytona Beach home at 1:07 a.m. Friday after the father called them found Raymond Frolander, 18, of Holly Hill lying motionless on the living room floor. Frolander had several knots on his face and was bleeding from the mouth, an arrest report states.

When police asked the father if any weapons were involved in the beating he told them, “Only my foot and my fist.”

The father will not face any charges in the beating.

The suspect was identified as a neighbor, 18 year old Raymond Frolander.
