In another example of zero thought (I mean tolerance) policies at our schools, all schools in an entire country were locked down when an overly concerned doctor’s office receptionist notified police that she heard something about shooting and a school on a student’s voicemail when she called to confirm an appointment time.

The student’s voicemail was actually a quote from the theme song to Will Smith’s old, popular television show the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The lyric quoted was “And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school.”

After a 20 minute search the student in question was located and authorities determined the message was a quote from the song, not a threat to the school.

I wonder how much money was spent on this county wide lockdown and mobilization of police forces before anyone even called the voicemail to assess the threat.

Here is the theme song in question if you’re not familiar. The lyric in question is just after the 0:40 mark.
