stock_DSC_0535Support in rural counties for Maryland’s new extremely restrictive gun control package is not only lacking support, there is downright dissent.

Counties across Maryland are passing resolutions prohibiting the use of county/city resources to enforce the new laws.

According to WTOP, the state of Maryland isn’t impressed with the county’s actions.

“They may not like what it says ,but it’s clearly the law of the state,” says Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler.

“They’re not lawyers. They’re not the court and they’re certainly not the Supreme Court,” Gansler says.

Several counties, individuals, and large gun rights groups are preparing lawsuits to challenge the new laws, which in many ways are the strictest in the country, once they take effect in December.

Keep fighting the good fight Maryland residents. Remember to make sure you’re registered to vote, keep up with lawsuit efforts, and donate to the appropriate groups that are fighting for your rights.
