According to media reports, at least two police officers have been shot in an ambush in Las Vegas, NV. Both officers died of their injuries.

Reportedly, a couple ambushed officers as they were eating lunch at CiCi’s Pizza. One of the suspect’s allegedly said “This is the start of a revolution” before the ambush began.

The couple then fled to a nearby Wal Mart where, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the suspects may have been engaged by a concealed carrier who wounded at least one of the suspects. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal,

Witnesses at the scene reported hearing shots fired in quick succession inside the WalMart.

One unconfirmed report is that the two exchanged gunfire with a citizen who was carrying a concealed weapon, and that one of the shooters was injured. Police confirm that at least one civilian at the Walmart was shot and killed.

If the suspects were engaged by a concealed carrier, it may have allowed other shoppers to escape the situation unharmed. It’s been reported that the suspect’s took the officer’s weapons and ammo from the restaurant which would imply that they planned on using them.

One civilian inside Wal Mart was said to be dead. It is unclear if that person was the possible concealed carrier.

Police believe the suspects then killed themselves as part of a suicide pact in the Wal Mart store.
