Just a few days after it was announced that Brad Pitt built a $400,000 shooting range for Angelina Jolie, Pitt has now publicly come out in support of gun rights.

Pitt tells British magazine Live (in response to more gun control following the Colorado movie shooting), “I absolutely don’t believe you can put sanctions or shackles on what is made. Nor do I want to pretend the world is different than what we witnessed that night… America is a country founded on guns. It’s in our DNA. It’s very strange but I feel better having a gun. I really do. I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel the house is completely safe, if I don’t have one hidden somewhere. That’s my thinking, right or wrong.

It’s long been reported that Jolie is also a supporter of gun rights for self defense. In 2008, Jolie told the U.K.’s Daily Mail, “I bought original, real guns of the type we used in ‘Tomb Raider’ for security. Brad and I are not against having a gun in the house, and we do have one. And yes, I’d be able to use it if I had to … If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I’ve no problem shooting them.

Not sure why these two like professing their support of gun rights to UK media, but there you go. Two genuine A-list celebrities coming out in support of gun rights, and not just for hunting or sporting purposes.

Brad Pitt’s and Angelina Jolie’s comments are not quite Charlton Heston’s “From my cold dead hands!!” but I am very glad they said what they did. I applaud them for having those sentiments and for making them public. Thanks from Deep In The Heart.

Problem is they completely contradict themselves by support anti-gun POTUS Obama. Talk about being confused…?

Why do you have to be a supporter of gun rights while not being a supporter of Obama? What makes it so speacial? I think only you are confused.
