Hmmm, this story out of California may not turn out great for the homeowner if his account of events is true.

Eighty year old Tom Greer came home to his house in an upscale neighborhood in Long Beach when he realized two people were inside with him.

The two intruders tackled Greer, causing a fairly severe collarbone/shoulder injury which required hospital treatment. Then, Greer got his hands on his .22 Smith and Wesson revolver.

According to NBC Los Angeles,

“I come back and they see me with a gun, and they run,” he said.

The man escaped, but the woman fell after being struck by Greer’s gunfire in an alley behind the house.

“She says, ‘Don’t shoot me, I’m pregnant! I’m going to have a baby!’ And I shot her anyway,” Greer said.

When asked what he saw happen to the woman after he fired shots, Greer responded: “She was dead. I shot her twice, she best be dead … (The man) had run off and left her.”

It is currently unknown if the deceased woman was actually pregnant.

Not going to call this one a defensive gun use quite yet until we get some more information. What do you guys think?
