President Obama to Unveil Comprehensive Gun Control Plan Tomorrow
The White House Press Secretary has said that the president will layout his comprehensive plan for new gun control legislation tomorrow at a press conference at 11:45am.
He will be joined by VP Biden as well as a group of children.
According to CNN, Carney declined to provide details about what the proposals will include but said Obama “intends to take a comprehensive approach,” including renewal of the assault weapons ban which expired after ten years in 2004, a ban of high-capacity gun magazines and closing background check loopholes.
Some of the plan is expected to include executive orders issued by the president while others will have to be taken up by Congress.

All of it will have to be taken up by congress. The president cannot make laws and the enforcement of any new laws would require new spending. That isnt going to happen within this congress.

What a crock of sh!t. Use a group of small children to get your agenda passed. This pile needs to go. I hope he has some real answers to the real problems. Not banning guns and magazines. That isn’t going to do squat but unarm law abiding citizens. ( oh wait im sorry lost sight of whats really going on. That’s what they want to do ) if he really gave a rats a$$ about our kids ( yes im a father of 3 still in school) he would have immediately put guards in ALL the schools to protect our children untill we came up with a better answer. Is it the answer? No I don’t think so the probem lies deeper. Way deeper. But it woild be a temporary fix untill the problem was found and delt with. Nope not him just leave our children like sitting ducks and attend to his agenda of disarming America so we can be over run with eases. Non of what there doing makes any sense as far as protecting our children. I have been doing lots of research and the only puzzle piece that fits is disarming America nothing else make sense. Yes tighter background checks would maybe help and make them available for the general public to use in the transfer of private sales so that a responseable gun owner would know who he is selling to. No its not going to stop all sales but nothing is going to. Criminals will fine a way. They always have. Umm open your eyes and look at drugs. All illegal and they flow into this country and they cant even put a dent in that problem. How in the hell are they going to control guns from coming in? This is going to do nothing but leave the law abiding citizens unarmed and venerable!
Washington is acting like a 3 year old and needs a good spanking to remind them who is in charge around here…. look at the constitution. ..WE THE PEOPLE plain as day.

Use of executive order to enact law is just by-passing congress and makes a mockery of the Checks and Balances that our countries founders so wisely included in our government. This is absolute dictatorial and needs to be changed.
Once again, write your reps, let them hear from you. Never think that just once is enough, they think that if you write them just once, you aren’t so serious. Let them hear the fire, but make no threats other than campaigning against them/loss of votes. Everyone is super jumpy over threats.

China, Russia and Iraq are the ones pushing for American gun control, and Obama sees nothing wrong with that… We’re heading into dangerous times. We (the conservative half of Canada) will be praying for you (the conservative half of the US). I live in Alberta, which is a very right wing part of Canada. A big number of my community are ranchers from Wyoming, Montana and Texas. And I’m as outraged as they are. By banning “assault weapons” and “high capacity magazines” would that not make the black market bigger and more powerful? Nonetheless what really will that help their are tons of “assault weapons” already legally owned . I dare a politician to try to take mine. Also what is the difference between “high capacity magazines ” and a bunch of 10 round mags, I can exchange them pretty quickly.

All gun owners have to act now. You need the mebership in one of the big organisations like NRA or GOA or what ever to increase the pressure to the government. I am from germany, we have a very resricted gun law. Every time they try to forbid the guns also for sportsman and hunter, nobody else is alowed to have a gun in germany, its a tragedy.
So fight for your rights and don´t give up because your fight is for al gun owners and law-abiding citizens in the world.
