Joe Biden: “Assault Weapons” Are Hardly Ever Used in Crimes, So We Should Ban Them

Maybe we should make this a daily segment, “Words of Wisdom with Joe Biden”.
In today’s Words of Wisdom with Joe Biden, Joe tries to answer a question about why we should ban “assault weapons” (as defined by the proposed 2013 Assault Weapons legislation) when those weapons account for less than 1% of all homicides in the US.
Joe’s answer basically boils down to the fact that he doesn’t think these weapons have any valid self defense or sporting purpose so we should ban them, despite their obvious absence in violent crime.
I’m going to write myself into circles if I try to summarize his comments anymore, so I’ll just let you watch the video below to hear all of Joe’s “Words of Wisdom”.

So by the same token you dummy, the homeowner will not be able to protect themselves during the time they are forced to reload because you want to set a limit. To dumb to see both sides. The thought process is baffling and scary.
Where do you get a “hundred shell magazines”? and then he say he doesn’t know where to get 50 round magazines? Is he condoning “shooting people with shotguns instead”? Are there really “clips” in a magazine.. This guy is an idiot. I am pretty sure none of his stats make sense.
Oh.. and he would have to swap magazines only 25 times to shoot 150 rounds with a 10 round magazine? I think you miscounted a hundred rounds or so. If the shooter had 4 loaded guns, so there is 4 less loads he had to do. I can drop a magazine and reload in less than a second.
What does a sporting need have to do with anything. There is no need to have a car that does 100mph but they aren’t outlawed. The 2nd amendment didn’t say to keep and bear arms…for sporting use.
Ok, I understand his opposition of AR’s when it comes to bad guys using them on LEO’s. But keeping them from responsible citizens won’t change things because there are already so many out there. Also, he’s patting himself on the back because violent crime is down, siting 100,000 more police on the streets. We all know the police don’t prevent crime (as a general rule), armed citizens do.
Also, if you reduce magazine capacity again it only harms the law abiding citizens. Personally, I’ll never reduce the capacity my mags hold, lawful or not.
the ban was not reissued ,simply BECAUSE,IT DID NOT WORK.AR-15s ARE quite freequently used in hunting all over the world for everything from ground hogs to lots of big game.where in the constitution exacly does it state, resonable limitations on who can own and what kind of arms can be owned.(someone please show me this).my father was a cop,my son is a cop,neither one of them or any of the 100 or better cops I know support restictions,they have however supported keeping the criminals in jail,or just ENFORCE the laws.Im not sure about this but I believe that at that time there were just a small percentage of these weapons out there at all.they are popular now.remember though,the criminals steal the guns they use,hence the name criminal.and even if you did ban them now,they would still have a stockpile.Mr.biden,you also think your outragiuos salary and benifits are rational.a hundred or better of those deaths were in Chicago,were they have insane gun regs,(hows that working out for you guys).also in my opinion,if there were no gun free zones and there were the same security in our schools that are in the schools where your kids go, there wouldnt have been any childre harmed at any of these schools.I know this,if I only have a double barrel shotgun and you shoot twice in the dark under those related circumstances,If you SHOULD miss,while you are reloading,they could very easly BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT,remember the criminal will not be playing by the same rules.I dont understand,if as in your words more people are shot with glocks than anything else then where is the logic behind getting rid of large clips and semi autos.armed security in those places would have most likely stopped alot more than one from being killed,maybe all of them because he would have never gone there if they knew there even might be a chance of them getting thier brains blown out.again if when he went to shoot and the gun jammed,if there were people with CC,they would have stopped him on the spot or before .it doesnt matter if ther is any NEED to have 30,50,or a 1000 rounds its simply our RIGHT to buy,and have as many as WE THE PEOPLE see fit to have to satisfy us.in short Mr.Biden I am quite sure at this point that YOU sir are an IDIOT.

So if the police are “outgunned” and they’re armed, how “outgunned” does he want the average law abiding citizen to be? VP = We Todd Ed.
when i was a child i used to use a soda straw in the hinge of the donkey kong video game to steal free unlimited credits.. it was a crime …better ban soda straws!
A 30 round magazine is not designed to hunt and the Second Amendment was not written to secure our rights to hunt. A 30 round magazine allows citizens to protect themselves against a tyrannical government hell bent on enslaving us. Yes a 30 round magazine is over kill in most situations of defense but can save a persons life if 1 they miss more than 10 times, and 2 have more than one person to defend against. Stop beating around the bush VP Biden, a 10 round magazine would reduce a civilians ability to defend against a tyrannical attack by our government and you know it. It’s bad enough that our soldiers have better equipment, weapons and training, taking away high capacity magazines only give them a greater advantage and that is not what our Founding Fathers wanted to happen.
If we where under gunned back in 1775 against Great Britain, would the United States exist today? Would we be free or would we still be under their rule? The government doesn’t want to address Tyranny because they know that is exactly what they are doing or trying to do.
Exactly how are you going to take my magazines away from me Mr. Biden? Are you going to use high capacity magazines to come take mine? Are you going to use unlawful force to make us comply? When another shooting happens and you realize your useless laws didn’t work are you going to take away more, because its for the kids? We the people are not as dumb as you may think. Most of us are aware of what you and your boss are doing and we are arming up. Record sales at all gun stores in the past 2 months should clue you in that we are awake and aren’t going to take your crap, we won’t disarm, we won’t comply!
So he just admitted that law abiding citizens are not the problem since we are not the ones attacking police…so why take them away from us?
Crazy Joe Biden if i had too pick the lesser of two evils i would rather have Biden as President rather than Obama !
I’d like to see the stats about cops being safer with an “assault weapons” ban. The cops shouldn’t be outgunned, the LAPD learned a hard lesson in North Hollywood. Shoot a double barrelled shotgun and an AR style rifle. You’ll choose that AR style rifle all day long for self defense. One point that wasn’t covered in this video is the fact that the second amendment also makes provision for a militia. A militia should have the same guns as the military and be trained in the use of those guns as well as tactics.
Is this guy an idiot? Oh, ya, I guess he is. He has no idea what the difference is between a clip or a magazine. How is it harder to aim and shoot an “assault rifle” than a shotgun? Why cant these anti-gunners/anti-constitutionalists understand its not all about hunting or sport shooting? Can you PLEASE tell me where hunting or sport shooting is mentioned in the Second Amendment?
